A question about a lot of famous people is, what are they really like. When Pizarro went to the new world, one tribe that he had a big effect on is the Inca. He kidnapped the ruler and demanded a ransom, he knew that they would pay it because they had lots of silver mines. Once the Incas payed the ransom, instead of giving the ruler back he killed him. This is just one of many times that Pizarro shows his cruelty, and that is why we think that over all Pizarro was not a nice person.
This whole thing about Pizarro demanding the ransom then killing their ruler could have been avoided. The reason why Pizarro did it was because Atahualpa; the ruler of the Incas refused to convert to Christianity. Pizarro over reacted and that is when he kidnapped Atahualpa. A good person needs to know how to control himself and if Pizarro could have controlled himself better he probably wouldn't seem like a bad person.
It is because of all of this that we see Pizarro as a bad person. Overreacting to Atahualpa when he didn't convert to Christianity. Kidnapping Atahualpa, demanding a ransom then killing him. However the truth is that this isn't entirely Pizarro's fault, it is really because of Alonzo the person Pizarro originally was travailing around with. Pizarro was on Alonzo crew and became influenced by his bad decisions and actions. That is the reason why Pizarro was so bad, and why we see him as a bad person.
