Long-term Effects

Francisco Pizarro caused a lot of changes and effects to the Native Americans and the Spanish conquistadors. The European soldiers also helped the Spanish with there victory. The Europeans' superior weapons, horses, and they carried diseases helped the Spanish defeat the Native Americans. After a couple decades they have conquered a whole lot of Native Americans. The Spanish also managed to acquire valuable goods.

Silver mines we made becasue of the Natives hard work and  labor. The mines were in Peru and Mexico for the finances of the New Empire. Spain  became stronger and stronger until it reached the top and it was Europe's greatest power. The Natives "god" was seen as being inferior  when compared to the  Spanish "god". The  Native Americans decided to covert to Christianity. The Natives thought they  would not suffer anymore if they were believers in Christ.

The Maya fought the Spanish for centuries in Mexico and Central America. After Atahualpa died, the Inca people started a rebellion. The population in Spanish America changed dramatically. In the year 1570 there was 2.5% black, mulatto, and mestizo people, there was 1.3% white people and 96.2% Native American. Now in 1650 there was 6.9% black people, 6.3% white people, 5.7 mulatto and mestizo people, and 81.1% of Native Americans. That is a very drastic change on that land.

Francisco Pizarro

We all now that Christoper Columbus sailed  across the Pacific Ocean and discovered America, but he wasn't the only person going from Europe to America at that time. Once he discovered America lots of explorers were going there to see what was called "The New World." One of these people was Francisco Pizarro.
